Ministries
Student Ministry
This is the Youth Ministry of Lakeview. It is designed for students in the 6th through 12th grades. It consists of Middle and High School programs and focus’ on the relational aspect of our faith. They meet on Wednesday Nights for WNAC (Wednesday Nights At Church) as well as Sunday mornings for Bible School at 9 a.m. There are also special events and programs throughout the year. This ministry is headed by Scott Schroy.
Lakeview Kids
This is our Children’s Ministry. The focus is on learning the Bible and relationships. They meet on Wednesday nights and Sunday Mornings. On Sunday they have graded Bible Classes and then a Worship Services designed just for them. This is for Preschool ages through the 5th grade. There are also activities and programs throughout the year. This ministry is headed by Carol Armstrong.
Nursery
This is our ministry to children under 2 years and their parents. We aim to provide a safe, loving and learning environment for our children. We have enacted security measures to not only keep the children safe but also to ease the concerns of the parents. We provide a well staffed nursery on Sunday mornings and at other times throughout the year as special needs arise. This ministry is headed by Rhonda Jordan.
Worship
Our Worship Ministry is responsible for planning and leading the services at Lakeview. This includes the worship band and the order of the service. Our worship leader, George Corder directs this ministry.
Worship Support
This ministry is responsible for preparing additional aspects of our worship service. These additional aspects include Communion Preparation and Cleanup, Ushers, Greeters and Servers.
Tech
The Tech Ministry is responsible for all things electronic at Lakeview. These folks run and maintain our sound and projection for the services and special programs. The ministry also maintains the video monitors throughout the facility. They also work with the staff on issues related to IT for the church office. The ministry is directed by John Ehmke.
Christian Care
This ministry is responsible for a monthly Hymn Sing at the Christian care Center (A Christian Retirement Facility in Mesquite). They normally meet on the last Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. The ministry is lead by Mary Frye.
Building & Grounds
This ministry has the responsibility of maintaining the physical buildings of Lakeview. This ministry is constantly working in the areas of maintenance, upkeep and improvements of our facilities. The ministry is lead by Barbara Deutsch.
Long Range Planning
This ministry is responsible for future planning and direction of Lakeview in regards to facilities. The ministry is lead by John Main.
